Yea, it's spring! I know we'll have some cool days to endure yet, but we've made it to my favorite season. I love spring because I love when everything is fresh and brand new. Green grass, new leaves on the trees, flowers and that smell in the air...ah yes, I'm a happy girl.
On to today's card, I participated in the limited supplies challenge over at SCS, in honor of spring, we were to use only colors from the soft subtles color family and our main image was to be a flower, so I got out my Fifth Avenue Floral set and got busy. I used watercolor paper and stamped the four flowers you see in perfect plum ink, I then used my watercolor crayons (perfect plum and pale plum) and colored just a bit around the edge of the petals. I then grabbed my aqua-painter and blended everything in. Under the watercolor paper is a layer of perfect plum, followed by a layer of pale plum. The sweet, little sentiment is from the Very Versatile stamp set which will be available to order on April 1, from the mini catalog.
